WHY DO PEOPLE STRUGGLE WITH FAVOR?
Why do some people seem to get much favor and tend to have lots of favor induced breakthroughs and some just struggle and continue to struggle? Why?

1. WHEN PEOPLE TAKE FAVOR FOR GRANTED AND ABUSE IT
Favor hates been taken for granted! If you get it first and second time and abuse it – it expires!

Jdg 13:2 There was a certain man of Zorah, of the tribe of the Danites, whose name was Manoah. And his wife was barren and had no children.
Jdg 13:3 And the angel of the LORD appeared to the woman and said to her, “Behold, you are barren and have not borne children, but you shall conceive and bear a son.
Jdg 13:4 Therefore be careful and drink no wine or strong drink, and eat nothing unclean,
Jdg 13:5 for behold, you shall conceive and bear a son. No razor shall come upon his head, for the child shall be a Nazirite to God from the womb, and he shall begin to save Israel from the hand of the Philistines.”

1. Father, from now – let me not take you and your favor for granted!
2. Lord, even where I am at, find me and show me favor!
3. From today, favor will cause barrenness to expire in my life permanently.
4. Whatever it will take, appear to me and visit me with favor!
5. The power to conceive new ideas – Lord Jesus – let favor give me now!

THAT SAME FAVOR GAVE HIM POWER – LION KILLED, KILLED 1000 WITH THE JAW BONE OF AN ASS
Jdg 14:5 Then Samson went down with his father and mother to Timnah, and they came to the vineyards of Timnah. And behold, a young lion came toward him roaring.
Jdg 14:6 Then the Spirit of the LORD rushed upon him, and although he had nothing in his hand, he tore the lion in pieces as one tears a young goat. But he did not tell his father or his mother what he had done.

6. Daddy, I decree that every power that favor has given me will not be wasted!
7. Whatever it will take, your divine favor will empower me.
8. All the weaknesses that has been destroying my progress, let supernatural favor destroy it.

SAMSON GOT USED TO IT AND TOOK IT FOR GRANTED!
Jdg 16:20 And she said, “The Philistines are upon you, Samson!” And he awoke from his sleep and said, “I will go out as at other times and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the LORD had left him.

9. Daddy, in every area of my life that I have taken your favor granted – show me mercy!
10. Lord! Because of your favor, please don’t leave me.

2. WHEN PEOPLE LACK DIRECTION AND INSTRUCTION!
Favor works with direction. Favor works with instructions – all the time!

ISAAC GOT INSTRUCTION
Gen 26:2 And the LORD appeared to him and said, “Do not go down to Egypt; dwell in the land of which I shall tell you.
Gen 26:3 Sojourn in this land, and I will be with you and will bless you, for to you and to your offspring I will give all these lands, and I will establish the oath that I swore to Abraham your father.
Gen 26:4 I will multiply your offspring as the stars of heaven and will give to your offspring all these lands. And in your offspring all the nations of the earth shall be blessed,

11. Lord, in your mercy and favor – give me clear instruction and help me to obey!
12. Daddy, every cluelessness that has become a part of my life, let your favor destroy it permanently.
13. Let favor shine my eyes to where to stay and prosper
14. In your favor, direct me! Direct my paths!
15. The Favor that multiples – release it upon me now!
16. The favor that will be great and transferred to my next generation – give me now!

FAVOR MAKES A MAN TO REAP BUT HE MUST FIRST SOW AND GET INSTRUCTION AS TO WHERE TO SOW.
Gen 26:12 And Isaac sowed in that land and reaped in the same year a hundredfold. The LORD blessed him,
Gen 26:13 and the man became rich, and gained more and more until he became very wealthy.

17. From today, give me the clarity to know where to sow and when to sow to get results!
18. The favor that turns efforts to riches – give me now!

3. THEY REFUSE TO TAKE RISK!

If favor must work – you have to takes risks! For a Christian, common sense is not always common!

ESTHER AND THE JEWS IN THE FACE OF DEATH NEEDED FAVOR

Est 4:10 Then Esther spoke to Hathach and commanded him to go to Mordecai and say,
Est 4:11 “All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that if any man or woman goes to the king inside the inner court without being called, there is but one law—to be put to death, except the one to whom the king holds out the golden scepter so that he may live. But as for me, I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days.”Est 4:13 Then Mordecai told them to reply to Esther, “Do not think to yourself that in the king’s palace you will escape any more than all the other Jews.
Est 4:14 For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Est 4:16 “Go, gather all the Jews to be found in Susa, and hold a fast on my behalf, and do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my young women will also fast as you do. Then I will go to the king, though it is against the law, and if I perish, I perish.”
Est 4:17 Mordecai then went away and did everything as Esther had ordered him.

19. By the power of divine favor, I, (insert name) and my family will not be destroyed!
20. By the power of divine favor, I, (insert name) will conquer all forms of enemies!
21. By the power of divine favor, I, (insert name), my waiting on you will not be a waste.

FAVOR BREAKS STATUS QUO- THEY PRAYED AND FASTED AND TOOK THE RISK AND SHE FOUND FAVOR!

Est 5:2 And when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, she won favor in his sight, and he held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter.

22. That which I have been asking you for years – let Favor hold it out for me!
23. I command favor to protect me from death and pain!

THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD TOOK THE RISK! THE FRIENDS OF THE PARALYTIC MAN TOOK THE RISK!

Mar 2:4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

24. Father, everything in my past that is holding me down from experiencing favor – destroy it.
25. Every “common sense” that has kept in the common zone for year – upgrade me to “favor sense”

4. THEY ARE GREEDY OR/AND TIGHT HANDED.

FAVOR MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN THE LIFE OF A GIVER.

JOSEPH SHOWED INTEREST IN THE WELFARE OF CHIEF BUTLER AND CHIEF BAKER AND WAS DELIVERED AND PROMOTED
Gen 40:6 When Joseph came to them in the morning, he saw that they were troubled.
Gen 40:7 So he asked Pharaoh’s officers who were with him in custody in his master’s house, “Why are your faces downcast today?”

26. Whoever I need to show favor to for favor to find me – show me now!

THE ZAREPATH WIDOW GAVE HER LAST MEAL AND GOT FAVOR FOR LIVING
1Ki 17:15 And she went and did as Elijah said. And she and he and her household ate for many days.
1Ki 17:16 The jar of flour was not spent, neither did the jug of oil become empty, according to the word of the LORD that he spoke by Elijah.

27. Whatever I need to give now for favor to find me – help me to let go of it.
