Joh 5:1  After this there was a feast of the Jews, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 
Joh 5:2  Now there is a pool at the Sheep Gate at Jerusalem, which is called in Hebrew Bethesda, having five porches. 
Joh 5:3  In these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, of blind, lame, withered, waiting for the moving of the water. 
Joh 5:4  For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and troubled the water. Then whoever first stepped in after the troubling of the water was made whole of whatever disease he had. 
Joh 5:5  And a certain man was there, who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 
Joh 5:6  When Jesus saw him lying, and knowing that he had spent much time, He said to him, Do you desire to be made whole? 
Joh 5:7  The infirm man answered Him, Sir, when the water is troubled, I have no one to put me into the pool. But while I am coming, another steps down before me. 
Joh 5:8  Jesus says to him, Rise, take up your bed and walk. 
Joh 5:9  And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked. And it was a sabbath on that day. 
Joh 5:10  Therefore the Jews said to him who had been healed, It is the sabbath. It is not lawful for you to take up the bed. 
Joh 5:11  He answered them, He who made me whole said to me, Take up your bed and walk. 
Joh 5:12  Then they asked him, Who is the man who said to you, Take up your bed and walk? 
Joh 5:13  And he did not know Him who had cured him, for Jesus had moved away, a crowd being in the place. 
Joh 5:14  Afterward Jesus found him in the temple and said to him, Behold, you are made whole. Sin no more lest a worse thing come to you. 
Joh 5:15  The man departed and told the Jews that it was Jesus who had made him whole.

STEPS TO FREEDOM FROM DELAYS


1. REMOVAL OF NAME FROM THE LIST 

Joh 5:3  In these lay a great multitude of those who were sick, of blind, lame, withered, waiting for the moving of the water.
Joh 5:4  For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and troubled the water. Then whoever first stepped in after the troubling of the water was made whole of whatever disease he had.

1. Lord in the name of Jesus, delete my name from the list of failures!
2. Lord delete the name  of my families from the names of the sick, lame and withered.
3. Lord now, now, now – by your power – remove my name from the waiting list of successful people.
4. He was waiting for the moving (kinesis) or the stirring of the water. Lord I have been waiting for years for the moving of my boss, home, husband etc. I am tired of waiting for the move. Move the mountain for me!
5. The list of people waiting for the next move – remove my name – make central of the move and let it start now.
6. I have been getting close but I have been ending a “runner up” or “almost been”. Let my joy as a winner not be delayed any longer.
7.  I appreciate the ministry of angel, I want the ministry of  your raw power. Break the back bone of delay in my life now!
8. Whatever good thing that I have missed repeatedly in times past – I will not miss it again!

2. DIVINE SELECTION FOR A NEW BEGINNING

Joh 5:5  And a certain man was there, who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 
Joh 5:6  When Jesus saw him lying, and knowing that he had spent much time, He said to him, Do you desire to be made whole?
Joh 5:7  The infirm man answered Him, Sir, when the water is troubled, I have no one to put me into the pool. But while I am coming, another steps down before me.

9. “A certain man”  – Find me and make so visible that delay can never hold me back again.
10. Relocate from the company of “have-nots” and meet my needs.
11. When you want to put delay to shame, you locate a man and his issues where he is – locate me here, locate me now and never take your sight from me.
12. The delay of many years that has crippled me and rendered me as invalid in certain areas of life, In the name of Jesus, it not cross into the new month with me.
13. Infirmity also means weakness – every weakness in my life that makes me prone to delay – alter the weakness and release strength unto me.
14. 38 years, 24 years, 16 years, 12 years, 5 Years, 42 weeks is too long! Have mercy on me. Olorun sanu funmi! Give me a new beginning.
15. Jesus, you saw him. Please look me on me with compassion and rewrite my story.
16. It was visible that he had been there for long! May be by the unchanged dress he was wearing. Lord Jesus, it was visible that the prodigal son had been with pigs. Destroy the chain of Delays so that I can wear a new robe.
17. Lord, I am not confused about what I want. I articulate my desire – In this area (Insert your specific  need) – GIVE ME A NEW BEGINNING.
18. Take my focus from men, they fail – Help me to rely on you.

3. MANIFESTATION OF THE POWER OF GOD

Joh 5:8  Jesus says to him, Rise, take up your bed and walk.
Joh 5:9  And immediately the man was made whole and took up his bed and walked. And it was a sabbath on that day.

There is power in a command backed up by God.

19. I command in the name of Jesus, I cease to be a failure from now.
20. I command in the name of Jesus, I cease to be a sickler from now.
21. I command in the name of Jesus, everything that  had wither in my life – come back to life!
22. Every stronghold that has held me back from being the best, I command you to be brought down in the name of Jesus.

The Power works now

23. I will not have to wait after now – I will arise and remain standing permanently.
24. As the cruise of oil never failed in the time of Elijah, the anointing will not fail in my life again.
25. He took his bed and walked. Everyone and everything that has carried me before now – I will begin to carry them.
