Mar 2:1 And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.
Mar 2:2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them.
Mar 2:3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.
Mar 2:4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

INTRODUCTION
Paralysis has been defined as the loss of the ability to move (and sometimes to feel anything) in part or most of the body, typically as a result of illness, poison, or injury or inability to function properly! APPLICATION TO LIFE – Paralysis is the inability to take action. This can apply to different areas of our lives!

SYMPTOMS/EFFECTS/POWER OF PARALYSIS

1. IMMOBILE – INABILITY TO MOVE!
Mar 2:3 AND THEY CAME, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.

CENTURION SERVANT TOO WAS PARALYZED – SAME HEBREW WORD BUT DIFFERENT INTERPRETATIONS
KJV – Mat 8:6 And saying, Lord, my servant lieth at home sick of the PALSY, GRIEVOUSLY TORMENTED.
CEV – Mat 8:6 “Lord, my servant is at home IN SUCH TERRIBLE PAIN THAT HE CAN’T EVEN MOVE.”
GNB – Mat 8:6 “Sir, my servant is sick in bed at home, UNABLE TO MOVE AND SUFFERING TERRIBLY.”

1. THANK YOU FATHER BECAUSE AFTER NOW MY PAIN AND SUFFERING WILL END!
2. All forms of pain and suffering that has been stopping and immobilizing me – STOP!
3. All limitations that has made it difficult for me to MOVE – EXPIRE AND END NOW.
4. I SPEAK TO MY LEGS – SPIRITUAL AND PHYSICAL LEGS, EMOTIONAL AND FINANCIAL LEGS– MOVE! JUST MOVE AGAIN! IN JESUS NAME!
5. The paralysis that has immobilized me to the extent that I cannot take initiatives again – by fire and force – LORD, DELIVER ME URGENTLY!
“They came”
6. Lord I am pleading and it is not an accident that I have come today, whatever it will take, before the end of this month – MOVE ME AGAIN! MOVE ME FORWARD!

2. INCAPACITATED
Mar 2:3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic CARRIED by four men.

7. Every loss of form, ability and energy that is stopping me – RESTORE ME AGAIN TO DIVINE STANDARD!
8. Every form of incapacitation that has grounded my ability to fly and EXECUTE – destroy now!
9. Everything that NORMALLY compliments me to fulfil my dreams that has expired – REACTIVATE THEM NOW!

3. DEPENDENT
Mar 2:3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic CARRIED BY FOUR MEN.

PETER’S MOTHER IN LAW ROSE UP TO ATTEND TO HERSELF AND OTHERS AFTER HER PARALYSIS WAS REMOVED!
Mat 8:14 And when Jesus entered Peter’s house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever.
Mat 8:15 He touched her hand, and the fever left her, and she rose and began to serve him.

10. Father, every form of paralysis that has rendered me naked and I do not even know – STOP IT!
11. Every form of nakedness that makes the world to laugh at me and taunting at my faith – LET MERCY COVER ME UP!
12. Whatever mistakes that I have made in life that has made me dependent on people to protect my nakedness – IN YOUR MERCY, USE ONE EVENT THIS MONTH TO SORT ME OUT.
13. From now, I will be healed! I will be free! SO that I can serve God and serve Humanity! Paralysis – GO! So I can be useful and relevant!

4. ABUSE

Mar 2:3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic CARRIED BY FOUR MEN.
Just imagine if the four men said we are taking you back home because of the crowd!

14. Every abuse that I have tolerated for years that is stopping me – end them now!
15. Every relationship abuse that I have been under because it is perceived that there is no alternative, SPEAK AND DELIVER ME NOW!
16. The season of being carried by men to the level where I cannot do anything without them – END IT NOW! END THAT SEASON!
17. I decree, from now, the destiny of (insert name) will not be in the hands of any man.

5. LACK OF FREEDOM

Mar 2:4 And WHEN THEY COULD NOT GET NEAR him because of the crowd,
Paralyzed people are beggars. They have little or no option and no choices. They have to beg to live

17b. Father, on a very serious and urgent note – GIVE ME FULL FREEDOM to be unstoppable!

Psa 125:3 For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

18. The rod of the evil ones resting on the lots of my loved ones and I – DESTROY THEM NOW!
19. Every evil hand that wants to make sure that I keep struggling – CUT THEM OFF!
20. The paralysis that keep a man perpetually in SIN – STOP NOW!

6. POWERLESS
Mar 2:4 And WHEN THEY COULD NOT GET NEAR him because of the crowd,
Paralyzed people cannot fight. Someone who cannot even move! They cannot defend themselves!

THE PREY MUST BE DELIVERED

21. Against every power that is winning against me and keeping in CAPTIVITY – RESCUE ME NOW!
22. I DECREE, SAME POWER THAT DELIVERED DANIEL FROM THE LIONS DEN WILL DELIVER ME AND ALL THAT CONCERNS ME NOW!

7. HOPELESSNESS AND DEPRESSION
Mar 2:4 And when they could not get near him because of the CROWD,
When a man tries repeatedly and do not succeed, he is a paralyzed man and the CROWD will make it worse!

GOOD NEWS! PARALYSIS CAN END!
Mat 4:24 So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, those oppressed by demons, those having seizures, and paralytics, and he healed them.

23. The stronghold of Hopelessness in my life that has made me a “shadow” of myself, I command light to shine in the midst of the darkness in Jesus name!
