TEXT: MARK 2:1-12

Mar 2:1 And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.
Mar 2:2 And many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them.
Mar 2:3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.
Mar 2:4 And when they could not get near him because of the crowd, they removed the roof above him, and when they had made an opening, they let down the bed on which the paralytic lay.

INTRODUCTION
In PART 1, we defined Paralysis as the loss of the ability to move (and sometimes to feel anything) in part or most of the body, typically as a result of illness, poison, or injury or inability to function properly! APPLICATION TO LIFE – Paralysis is the inability to take action. This is applicable to all the areas of our lives!

TODAY WE WILL LOOK AT REAL STEPS TO DESTROY PARALYSIS

1. AWARENESS – OPEN YOUR EARS! OPEN YOUR HEARTS! BREAKTHROUGHS HAPPEN ANYTIME AND FROM ANYWHERE

Mar 2:1 And when he returned to Capernaum after some days, it was reported that he was at home.

BLIND BARTIMEAUS WAS BLIND BUT HE HAD AN OPEN EAR AND AN OPEN HEART
Mar 10:46 Jesus and his disciples went to Jericho. And as they were leaving, they were followed by a large crowd. A blind beggar by the name of Bartimaeus son of Timaeus was sitting beside the road.
Mar 10:47 When he heard that it was Jesus from Nazareth, he shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!”

1. Every report and news that I need to hear to destroy paralysis in my life – give me!
2. Every power, behavior and attitude that has shut down my ability to see, hear and consider new things – destroy it.
3. Lord, give me options. Give me fresh options. In your mercy -send me new ideas.
4. Every opportunity that can destroy paralysis in the life of a man and make him unstoppable – Give me today!
5. I command, (insert name), receive a new chance! Receive a new opportunity.
6. Every darkness that is holding me down – let your light shine and destroy it NOW.

2. THE CROWD DOES NOT MATTER

Mar 2:2 AND MANY WERE GATHERED TOGETHER, SO THAT THERE WAS NO MORE ROOM, not even at the door. And he was preaching the word to them.

GOD HEALED THE WOMAN WITH THE ISSUE OF BLOOD IN THE CROWD!
CEV – Mar 5:25 In the crowd was a woman who had been bleeding for twelve years.

THE CROWD ALMOST DISTRACTED JESUS FROM HEALING THE RULER’S DAUGHTER!
CEV -Mat 9:23 When Jesus went into the home of the official and saw the musicians and the crowd of mourners,
Mat 9:24 he said, “Get out of here! The little girl isn’t dead. She is just asleep.” Everyone started laughing at Jesus.
Mat 9:25 But after the crowd had been sent out of the house, Jesus went to the girl’s bedside. He took her by the hand and helped her up.

7. Even though “many may be gathered” and give impression that I have no chance, help my eyes to remain on you for the breakthrough I desire!
8. Every “crowd factor” and “crowd suggestion” that is not allowing me to see clearly – take them away Lord!
9. Every crowd gathering or about to gather to “MOURN” my demise and the breakdown of my destiny – Daddy, show them that there is a God that helps men.

“He took her by the hand and helped her up. “
10. Take my hand, take my life, take my strengths, take my weaknesses and HELP ME UP!

3. THE DOOR IS NOT THE ONLY WAY!

Mar 2:2 ..SO THAT THERE WAS NO MORE ROOM, NOT EVEN AT THE DOOR.

ABRAHAM WAS SURE THAT THERE WOULD BE ANPTHER OPTION TO KILLING ISAAC!
Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
Gen 22:11 And the angel of the LORD called unto him out of heaven, and said, Abraham, Abraham: and he said, Here am I.
Gen 22:13 And Abraham lifted up his eyes, and looked, and behold behind him a ram caught in a thicket by his horns: and Abraham went and took the ram, and offered him up for a burnt offering in the stead of his son.
Gen 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovahjireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

11. Father – show me the alternative or alternatives to the obvious doors around me that has closed or closing up!
12. While you are helping me to figure the options out – let me not breakdown. Let me not become history!
13. AS THE LORD LIVES AND YOUR POWER LIVES – GIVE ME ABSOLUTE REST FROM ALL FORMS OF PARALYSIS THIS WEEK!

4. YOUR CURRENT STATUS DOES NOT DEFINE YOUR TOMORROW

Mar 2:3 And they came, bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men.

SEE DAVID’S CRY– AM SURE SOME OF YOU LIKE ME FEEL SAME WAY!
Psa 142:3 When my spirit faints within me, you know my way! In the path where I walk, they have hidden a trap for me.
Psa 142:4 Look to the right and see: there is none who takes notice of me; no refuge remains to me; no one cares for my soul.
Psa 142:5 I cry to you, O LORD; I say, “You are my refuge, my portion in the land of the living.”
Psa 142:6 Attend to my cry, for I am brought very low! Deliver me from my persecutors, for they are too strong for me!
Psa 142:7 Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name! The righteous will surround me, for you will deal bountifully with me.

14. Father, give me hope and encourage me NOW that my tomorrow will be alright!
15. Irrespective of what life is throwing at me – I WILL WIN!
16. You are my refuge (safety and protector), my portion (all I want in life) – PLEASE INTERVENE IN MY LIFE NOW AND HELP.

“Bring me out of prison, that I may give thanks to your name!”
17. Father, the prison of life that all forms of paralysis is imposing on me and my family members – BRING ME OUT! BRING US OUT NOW!

5. YOU NEED DIVINE HELPERS

HELP IS A PROMISE!
Isa 41:13 I am the LORD your God; I strengthen you and tell you, ‘Do not be afraid; I will help you.’ ”
Isa 41:14 The LORD says, “Small and weak as you are, Israel, don’t be afraid; I will help you. I, the holy God of Israel, am the one who saves you.

HELP IS HERE
Isa 44:2 Thus says the LORD who made you, who formed you from the womb and will help you: Fear not, O Jacob my servant, Jeshurun whom I have chosen.
Isa 44:3 For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour my Spirit upon your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants.
Isa 44:4 They shall spring up among the grass like willows by flowing streams.

18. Daddy, people who you want to use to carry me this season who will not disappoint– send them speedily.
19. Grant me the boldness to ask for help! Give me the spirit of “NOT TAKING NO FOR AN ANSWER” till I get my breakthrough.
20. I enter into a covenant of help with you today – FOR THE REST OF MY LIFE, I (INSERT NAME) WILL NEVER LACK HELP.

6. DIRECTION IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN SPEED!

Mar 2:4 AND WHEN THEY COULD NOT GET NEAR HIM because of the crowd,

SEEK JESUS IF YOU WANT TO LEAVE YOUR PARALYZED STATE. EVEN IF YOU STUMBLE OR STUMBLED. HE WILL HAVE MERCY – JUST SEEK JESUS AND JESUS ONLY!

21. Irrespective of where life has put me, let me never leave you! Let me never stop looking for you!
22. In whatever way that what I had done or did or doing is preventing me from getting near to you – show me and deliver me now.
23. Every doctrine that I have held to that has kept me away from joy and happiness in Christ – open my eyes!
24. Every distraction in my life that is paralyzing me, uproot to the very foundation and FREE ME!

LAST PRAYER POINT
25. DADDY –ALL FORMS OF CONFUSION THAT IS REIGNING IN MY LIFE, EVERY CLUELESSNESS, EVERY SENSE OF HOPELESSNESS, I REJECT THEM AND RENOUNCE THEM – GRANT ME DIRECTION.

FOR IN JESUS NAME WE HAVE PRAYED. AMEN.
