TEXT: GENESIS: 29 and 30

INTRODUCTION

Effort is good. Hard Work is good but they do not automatically translate to results! Labor does not necessarily mean success automatically.

Gen 29:18 Jacob was in love with Rachel, so he said, “I will work seven years for you, if you will let me marry Rachel.”
Gen 29:19 Laban answered, “I would rather give her to you than to anyone else; stay here with me.”
Gen 29:20 Jacob worked seven years so that he could have Rachel, and the time seemed like only a few days to him, because he loved her.

1. Father in the name of Jesus, all my wasted years – reverse it!
2. Every pain that fruitlessness has caused me – Lord – turn it to Joy
3. From today, I (insert your name) will not experience failure again.
4. Before now, I have been struggling to get it or get there – Lord, terminate “struggle” in my life.

5. EVERY “WASTER” IN MY LIFE – SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL – FROM THE ROOT – UPROOT THEM IN THE NAME OF JESUS.

6. Lord, restore my joy in what I do.
7. If the works of my hand as it is now will never give me rest – relocate me Lord!
8. In the name of Jesus, I will not chase shadows.
9. Every evil and secret intent designed to cause my toil to waste at the end of the day – reveal it now!
10. Every heart and mind that is sounding like they are on my side but causing me secret pain – expose them.
11. “, and the time seemed like only a few days to him, because he loved her” Lord, my home, my work, my ministry – salt and garnish it with Joy.

Gen 29:21 Then Jacob said to Laban, “The time is up; let me marry your daughter.”
Gen 29:22 So Laban gave a wedding feast and invited everyone.
Gen 29:23 But that night, instead of Rachel, he took Leah to Jacob, and Jacob had intercourse with her.
Gen 29:25 Not until the next morning did Jacob discover that it was Leah. He went to Laban and said, “Why did you do this to me? I worked to get Rachel. WHY HAVE YOU TRICKED ME?

12. Every plan of fraud (spirit of “419”) that is following – abort it now.
13. I reject error. I renounce error. I command the power and plan of error to be broken in my life in Jesus name.
14. Every negative spirit of “instead” in the release of my harvest, I bind you and cast you out of my life in Jesus name.
15. Every “trick” and “trickery” of hell to make me struggle – Lord, destroy it permanently.

Gen 29:27 Wait until the week’s marriage celebrations are over, and I will give you Rachel, if you will work for me another seven years.”
Gen 29:28 Jacob agreed, and when the week of marriage celebrations was over, Laban gave him his daughter Rachel as his wife.

16. My joy will not be cut short in the name of Jesus
17. My due and overdue celebration will not be extended!
18. Anyone and anything that wants to postpone my day of celebration – in your own way – arrest them!
19. NOW, I DECLARE (insert your name), your days of waiting are over.
Also pray this for someone or something else ( insert their names)

Leah was getting pregnant one after the other. She even had the Luxury of adding her maid! Meanwhile Rachel got frustrated

Gen 30:1 But Rachel had not borne Jacob any children, and so she became jealous of her sister and said to Jacob, “Give me children, or I will die.”
Gen 30:2 Jacob became angry with Rachel and said, “I can’t take the place of God. He is the one who keeps you from having children.”

20. Every form of frustration due to labor not yielding result – deliver me!
21. I reject depression and hopelessness! I reject you! I reject you!
22. You spirit of failure and despondency- you will not kill me. I bind you and cast you out of my life.
23. Life answer to me! Success answer to me! I will live my life to the full in Jesus name!

CEV – Gen 30:2 But Jacob became upset with Rachel and answered, “Don’t blame me! I’m not God.”
24. LORD – ONLY YOU! ONLY YOU – SORT ME OUT SPEEDILY!

Gen 30:4 So she gave Bilhah to her husband, and he had intercourse with her.
Gen 30:5 Bilhah became pregnant and bore Jacob a son.

25. As the Lord lives, no one will take my place! no one!
26. I reject “fake” alternatives – emotionally, financially – give me the one with my name on it.

Gen 30:15 Leah answered, “Isn’t it enough that you have taken away my husband? Now you are even trying to take away my son’s mandrakes.” Rachel said, “If you will give me your son’s mandrakes, you can sleep with Jacob tonight.”
Gen 30:16 When Jacob came in from the fields in the evening, Leah went out to meet him and said, “You are going to sleep with me tonight, because I have paid for you with my son’s mandrakes.” So he had intercourse with her that night.

27. Lord, the shame and setback that is making me cheaply negotiate away that which is rightly mine and should remain mine – put them to shame!
28. It cannot go on like this! My Father – intervene and take away all forms of shame in my life!

Gen 30:22 Then God remembered Rachel; he answered her prayer and made it possible for her to have children.
Gen 30:23 She became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She said, “God has taken away my disgrace by giving me a son.
Gen 30:24 May the LORD give me another son”; so she named him Joseph.
Gen 30:25 After the birth of Joseph, Jacob said to Laban, “Let me go, so that I can return home.
29. Remember me Lord! Remember me now!
30. Remember my ( insert whatever it is – family, work, ministry) and give us rest
31. Remembrance births answers – all pending prayer points and cries of many years – Lord! ANSWER THEM NOW.
32. Joseph means ” addition” or ” Let the Lord add”! Daddy! let your favor give me ONE major surprise that will lay the foundation for MORE!

Once Joseph was born to Rachel – Jacob could see the need to move forward!

33. Lord! let your favor and the power of remembrance free to fulfill my destiny in Jesus name.

BONUS PRAYER POINT

Est 4:7 Mordecai told him everything that had happened to him and just how much money Haman had promised to put into the royal treasury if all the Jews were killed.
Est 4:8 He gave Hathach a copy of the proclamation that had been issued in Susa, ordering the destruction of the Jews. Mordecai asked him to take it to Esther, explain the situation to her, and have her go and plead with the king and beg him to have mercy on her people.
Est 4:16 “Go and get all the Jews in Susa together; hold a fast and pray for me. Don’t eat or drink anything for three days and nights. My servant women and I will be doing the same. After that, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. If I must die for doing it, I will die.”
Est 5:2 When the king saw Queen Esther standing outside, SHE WON HIS FAVOR, and he held out to her the gold scepter. She then came up and touched the tip of it.
Est 5:3 “What is it, Queen Esther?” the king asked. “Tell me what you want, and you shall have it—even if it is half my empire.”

34. WHERE ALL MY EFFORT HAS FAILED, WHERE ALL MY TRIALS HAS REFUSED TO WORK – LORD!
