TEXT: DANIEL 1: 1- 9

INTRODUCTION

1. THE FACT THAT THINGS ARE NOT WORKING AROUND YOU DOES NOT MEAN YOU WILL NOT THRIVE NOR THAT YOU DON’T HAVE A FUTURE!

Dan 1:1 In the third year of the reign of Jehoiakim king of Judah, NEBUCHADNEZZAR KING OF BABYLON CAME TO JERUSALEM AND BESIEGED IT.
Dan 1:2 And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand, with some of the vessels of the house of God. And he brought them to the land of Shinar, to the house of his god, and placed the vessels in the treasury of his god.

Ecc 9:4 As long as we are alive, we still have hope, just as a live dog is better off than a dead lion.
Ecc 9:5 We know that we will die, but the dead don’t know a thing. Nothing good will happen to them—they are gone and forgotten.
Ecc 9:6 Their loves, their hates, and their jealous feelings have all disappeared with them. They will never again take part in anything that happens on this earth.

1. Father, I thank you because in the middle of hopelessness, I have hope in you and my tomorrow will be alright.
2. Lord, insulate my destiny and purpose from the effects of all the negativity happening in our generation.
3. The siege against entities (people, businesses, ministries) that is helpful to me that will affect me negatively y – let it expire now!

“And the Lord gave Jehoiakim king of Judah into his hand”
4. Daddy, whatever you do, please do not hand over my destiny and future to another man! Never – under any circumstances! Protect me from pain.
5. Irrespective of my past and irrespective of my inadequacies, please let no man gloat over me to celebrate my failure. Let mercy speak for me and my future!
6. The confidence that you give a man, the mindset that you give that believes that no matter how bad it is around me, I will still thrive – GIVE IT TO ME!
7. The dead is gone. Disappeared with all their feelings! Daddy I am grateful for life and where I am at and how you will sort me out completely and speedily!
8. Every plan of hell to make me be alive only by breath but dead internally with no clue- TERMINATE IT NOW!
9. I DECREE, against all odds, (insert name) will win!

2. THERE WILL ALWAYS BE A WAY AND AN OPPORTUNITY WILL OPEN UP SOON!

Dan 1:3 Then the king commanded Ashpenaz, his chief eunuch, to bring some of the people of Israel, both of the royal family and of the nobility,
Dan 1:4 youths without blemish, of good appearance and skillful in all wisdom, endowed with knowledge, understanding learning, and competent to stand in the king’s palace, and to teach them the literature and language of the Chaldeans.

Gen 40:14 Only remember me, when it is well with you, and please do me the kindness to mention me to Pharaoh, and so get me out of this house.

10. Father, whatever it will take, I decree I will not be stranded!
11. I command, for good, let be sort after
12. Everything that I have that has been wasting and have no value placed on it – open the door for them now!
13. Lord, for my sake, they will look for people like me and what I have – e.g “youths”, “woman”, “man”
14. The power not to give up before the “king” and influencers start looking for me – GIVE ME NOW!

3. WINNERS ARE ALWAYS READY AND ALWAYS PUT THEMSELVES IN THE BEST POSITION TO BE SELECTED

Dan 1:5 The king assigned them a daily portion of the food that the king ate, and of the wine that he drank. They were to be educated for three years, and at the end of that time they were to stand before the king.
Dan 1:6 Among these were Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah of the tribe of Judah.
Dan 1:7 And the chief of the eunuchs gave them names: Daniel he called Belteshazzar, Hananiah he called Shadrach, Mishael he called Meshach, and Azariah he called Abednego.

YOU REAP WHAT YOU SOW.
CEV – Job 4:8 In my experience, only those who plant seeds of evil harvest trouble,
Job 4:9 and then they are swept away by the angry breath of God.

WINNERS GET READY BY SOWING TOWARDS THEIR GOALS
Psa 126:5 Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy!
Psa 126:6 He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.

15. Every limitation in my life that has permanently tied me down and unable to get ready – DELIVER ME NOW!
16. Every blemish in my life – character, behavior, preferences etc that has or rendering me useless – Deliver me Lord! Deliver me fully
17. From today, let my appearance matter. Anything I need to work on – weight, diet etc – SHOW ME AND I PROMISE I WILL COMPLY!
18. Every self-appraisal that I need to make to become a winner – push me and force me to do it until I make the changes.
19. Every skill and wisdom that is untapped in my life – activate them Lord!
20. Whatever skill I need to acquire to become a champion – lead me into it and make me a success at it.
21. From now, I will be competent to stand in front of leaders, kings and rulers! I receive power to be competent

4. WINNERS HAVE STRONG RESOLVE!

Dan 1:8 But Daniel resolved that he would not defile himself with the king’s food, or with the wine that he drank. Therefore he asked the chief of the eunuchs to allow him not to defile himself.

22. In every area of my life that issues of life had destroyed the standard I used to celebrate – have mercy on me and reset the standards
23. When it matters most, help me to be strong! Lord help me to be strong! Empower my strength till I overcome.
24. Every form of defilement that has happened with me and around, I plead the blood of Jesus to sanctify me.
