TEXT: PSALMS 46

Psa 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
GNB – Psa 46:1 God is our shelter and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
CEV – Psa 46:1 God is our mighty fortress, always ready to help in times of trouble.

INTRODUCTION
The greatest confidence we have in God is that He does not fail! He is reliable and can be trusted for help ALL THE TIME!
It is not about how big, it is not about how tough, it is not about how depressing – The help is very PRESENT!

WHY?
TWO REASONS – HE IS
a. OUR REFUGE, SHELTER, MIGHTY FORTRESS – ability to protect and shield
b. OUR STRENGHT – capacity to perform

We need to tap into this traits of His to get help!

PRAYER POINTS 

Psa 46:1  God is our mighty fortress, always ready to help in times of trouble.Psa 46:2  And so, we won’t be afraid! Let the earth tremble and the mountains tumble into the deepest sea.

1. Lord! This year – fight for me!

2. All these “TREMBLING” and “TUMBLING” of life battles that I am facing, Lord! command calmness!

3. Father, Protect me and all you have given me from Pain!

4. When you show up, there is a difference- Lord show up for me NOW!

5. In every area I have doubted you – Lord I am sorry! Forgive me.

6. “And so, we won’t be afraid!”

7. I reject fear! I renounce fear! In the name of Jesus

8. I (insert name) will not afraid to move forward and pursue my dreams

9. Every fears that have paralyzed my dreams – In the name of Jesus I paralyzed them

10. Every spirit of the fear of failure – fail in my life!

1Sa 17:34  But David told him: Your Majesty, I take care of my father’s sheep. And when one of them is dragged off by a lion or a bear, 1Sa 17:35  I go after it and beat the wild animal until it lets the sheep go. If the wild animal turns and attacks me, I grab it by the throat and kill it. 1Sa 17:36  Sir, I have killed lions and bears that way, and I can kill this worthless Philistine. He shouldn’t have made fun of the army of the living God!

11. Give me a testimony that will destroy the stronghold of fear permanently in my life!

12. Even when I was not qualified, you showed me mercy – Lord in the name of Jesus this challenge I am facing now will not overcome me! I will win!

13. Every challenge ( SPECIFY – joblessness, loneliness etc making fun of me and my dignity – Lord destroy them!

1Sa 17:37  The LORD has rescued me from the claws of lions and bears, and he will keep me safe from the hands of this Philistine. “All right,” Saul answered, “go ahead and fight him. And I hope the LORD will help you.”

14. Lord! for the rest of this year, as for me and every member of my family! Keep us safe!
” And I hope the LORD will help you.”

15. Lord! for every battle that I am facing now – HELP ME!

16. In the name of Jesus – as concerning ( insert name), this battle will not overwhelm you!

17. As you go ahead to fight! You will win in Jesus name

Psa 46:3  Let the ocean roar and foam, and its raging waves shake the mountains.Psa 46:4  A river and its streams bring joy to the city, which is the sacred home of God Most High. Psa 46:5  God is in that city, AND IT WON’T BE SHAKEN. He will help it at dawn.

18. In the name of Jesus, concerning the works of my hands and my future – NO SHAKING!

19. In the name of Jesus, concerning my finances and my economic security – NO SHAKING!
” A river and its streams bring joy to the city, which is the sacred home of God Most High. God is in that city..”

20. Lord cause the river of joy flow again in my life!

21. Rest brings joy! Give me complete rest!

GNB – Psa 46:5  God is in that city, AND IT WILL NEVER BE DESTROYED; at early dawn he will come to its aid.

22. Concerning everything that I see that gives me joy, I decree, they will never be destroyed!

23. This is my early dawn Lord!  Come to my aid!

24. My Present help! help me that shame will not have victory over me!

SHADRACH, MESACH AND ABEDNEGO ARE GOOD EXAMPLES OF A VERY PRESENT HELP
Dan 3:16  Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered, “Your Majesty, we will not try to defend ourselves. Dan 3:17  If the God whom we serve is able to save us from the blazing furnace and from your power, then he will. Dan 3:18  But even if he doesn’t, Your Majesty may be sure that we will not worship your god, and we will not bow down to the gold statue that you have set up.”

25. I am tired of defending myself – Present help – fight and defend me LORD.

26. I reject all forms of idolatry and compromise – I come clean! PURIFY ME LORD!
Dan 3:19  Then Nebuchadnezzar lost his temper, and his face turned red with anger at Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. So he ordered the furnace to be heated seven times hotter than usual.

27. No matter how hot it may increase, It is well and it will end well!

Dan 3:22  Now because the king had given strict orders for the furnace to be made extremely hot, the flames burned up the guards who took the men to the furnace.

28. Every messenger of evil against my future – burn them up LORD in their own fire!

29. Present Help – Show up that fire burning me secretly and publicly will be quenched

Dan 3:24  Suddenly Nebuchadnezzar leaped to his feet in amazement. He asked his officials, “Didn’t we tie up three men and throw them into the blazing furnace?” They answered, “Yes, we did, Your Majesty.”

30. Present help, today and going forward –  Surprise them.

31. That next meeting, that next negotiation – show up and surprise me with favor

32. Present help deliver me from the fire of life!

33. Normally men may take a long time – Lord in the name of Jesus – show up and show me the fastest route!

Dan 3:25  “Then why do I see four men walking around in the fire?” he asked. “They are not tied up, and they show no sign of being hurt—and the fourth one looks like an angel.”

34. WHEREVER, WHATEVER, WHENEVER FIRE I FIND MYSELF – LORD – SEND YOUR ANGEL AND SET ME FREE!
FOR WE HAVE PRAYED IN JESUS NAME. AMEN
