Psa 18:2 Jehovah is my strength, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock; I WILL TRUST IN HIM; He is my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.

He says in different forms “In God I trust” ; “I trust thee”

WHY TRUST IN GOD?

1. CONFIDENCE

A STATEMENT OF CONFIDENCE THAT MY TOMORROW WILL BE ALRIGHT, THAT IT WILL END WELL

Kjv – Psa 71:1 IN YOU, O JEHOVAH, I PUT MY TRUST; let me never be put to shame.

IT IS A STATEMENT THAT SAYS ALL I AM GOING THROUGH “NOW” AS WE KNOW IT AND WE SEE IT WILL PASS!

GOD HAS A COMMITMENT AND COVENANT WITH PEOPLE WHO TRUST HIM TO PROTECT THEM AGAINST SHAME!

DAVID AS A TEENAGE BOY HAD CONFIDENCE IN GOD. IT WAS THAT TRUST IN GOD THAT DID NOT PUT HIM TO SHAME AGAINST GOLIATH!

1Sa 17:37 And David said, “The LORD who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear WILL DELIVER ME FROM THE HAND OF THIS PHILISTINE.” And Saul said to David, “Go, and the LORD be with you!”

3. WHEN YOU NEED STRENGTH!

WHEN LOW, CONFUSED AND LOST STRENGTH TO PUSH ON – YOU NEED TO TRUST GOD!

ESV – Psa 27:14 Wait for the LORD; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the LORD!

GNB – Psa 27:14 Trust in the LORD. Have faith, do not despair. Trust in the LORD.

4. WHEN YOU NEED NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE INTERVENTION AND DELIVERANCE – YOU HAVE TO TRUST GOD!

LAW OF WORST-CASE SCENARIO

DANIEL WENT TO PRAY AFTER THE DECREE WAS SIGNED! WHAT ELSE COULD HE HAVE DONE?
